Southern Coal partnership with its local community
Southern Coal supports the education of its local community through investment and donations to Zamokhule Crèche and Ingwe Primary School.
- Construction of a new perimeter fence to secure Ingwe school grounds.
- Donation of solar lamps, learning aids, toys, kitchen equipment, and photocopying equipment.
- Construction of a new main building for Zamokhule.
- Donation of gardening tools, football equipment, and support for community enterprise projects.

Since 2017 Southern Coal has supported local entrepreneurs through financial donations to new businesses in and around Newcastle, KZN.
